And the first month of the year is over. This month I have felt so motivated to work on my New Year Resolutions and have done at least 1 and 1/4th. The first one I’ve ticked off is made my travel photo album. I picked some pictures out from each trip of places that I had a memory attached to it or were linked to some significant even/thoughts. I printed them off and have filled half my album. Which only means more trips to fill in the rest!
These pictures were from my last trip to Europe in late 2015. Here are their links incase you’ve missed it.
In other news, I came across this article on Fast Fashion Problems which was written by Alden Wicker and her blog is here. I thoroughly enjoyed reading her blog which had many thoughtful articles to keep pondering over, check it out if it’s a topic you’re interested in or if you just want to see!
See you at the end of February!
Happy New Year!
I started the new year at Bondi Beach. It was packed, not too hot and not too cold and I was in the company of a friend who I had met last year on my travels! It’s such a surreal feeling when you meet someone in one country and then a few months or years later you meet again in another country.
I keep saying that there are “good vibes” for this year or maybe I’m just starting off the year with two handfuls of optimism. I’ll stick with the former. Up until now, I would say that I have lived each year differently each with varying degrees of “different”. Some have been similar and I’m finding that as I become older (and hopefully wiser), the need for change and growth becomes bigger. This year, I’ve decided that I should focus more on experiencing. I agree, it’s alittle weird to have a theme for the year, that’s what they do for the fireworks but this year will be my first out of university so there is nothing really holding me back!
I’ve made a list of resolutions which include:
- try a South American dance class.
- read more books.
- try a bread baking class.
- continue learning french.
- to return to Europe.
One quote I came across during the past few months was ” You do you”. I can’t remember for the life of me, where I heard it from. I have a feeling it’s from youtube. So this year, I want to make a bigger commitment to myself and what I want out of this year. To live by what I stand for and the roll around in that. To spend my free time doing what I want and with who I want.
What are some of your resolutions? Are you also making a commitment to “you do you”? Let me know!
Then 2015 happend……
I hope you are all saddened that another year has come to a close but are excited for the year to come!
I hadn’t shared Christmas Eve pictures with you yet so here they are:
The past few days haven given me some time to think about my New Year Resolutions (this time of the year is very conductive to long days day-dreaming) and making a list. Yes, I am one of those people that make resolutions and I try and see how many boxes I can tick off.
I have also been trying to think about what I want to blog about content wise in 2016. There are still more travel stories and places to write about and I’d like to see where this blog goes next year. But this year, which has been my first official year on wordpress, this blog has gotten 356 views, 211 visitors and 242 likes. So THANK YOU to all my followers, viewers and likers. To write for yourself is one thing but to write and engage with others is another.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely year and hope that 2016 is bigger and better. I’m excited for what the year might hold and also excited to be coming up with more blog posts and ideas to share.
Happy New Year everyone!
Bonne Annee tout le monde!
