Blogmas Day 15! 🎄
I thought this week I’d do a book week topic for blogmas this week. Now that I’ve finished uni, i feel like I can read without falling asleep now. I’ve spent a few years working at a bookstore as well so reading is one of my jams.
I think I first saw this book ‘The little coffee shop in Kabul’ by Deborah Rodriguez at an airport and made a mental note to see if my local library had it. Then I completely forgot so it has been a long time coming. Until now! I started December off with this book so I thought I would start off with it.
P.S. I judged this book by its cover.
The main story line revolves around an American lady who owns a coffee shop. In Kabul. I don’t know the technical term but it’s written in a way where each character has their own story line from beginning to end and their lives link up. Alittle like Love Actually. If you enjoyed The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, I would describe this book as similar to them theme-wise. I found it enjoyable and easy to read so would recommend!
Have you read The Little Coffee Shop in Kabul and what did you think? Let me know in the comments below!
